The Challenge & Responsibilities
A personal side project with 2 other designer friends created to bridge the social gap between people who bleed, connecting those who can afford menstrual products to those who need help to access them with a simple solution.

Perigives designed posters that are distributed in female public restrooms and are freely accessible online to anyone who wants to help.

Perigives

User Pain Points
• Many homeless women often have to choose between a meal or menstrual products
• Current systems help by personally finding people in need and distributing the products directly to them
• For many homeless, this process is humiliating, limiting and unaccessible
• there are limited supplies of menstruation products in homeless shelters and due to this, they are given one menstrual product per cycle if any
Our Goals
• Our strategies is to bring in friendlier tone to make our brand feel more approachable and human
• Creating an inclusive design (women are not the only ones who menstruate)
• Spreading awareness and educating people about this cause
Design that is accessible for everyone
Branding
Challenges:
• How can we design something that everyone can relate to?

• How can we people help share the cause?
• How will people know that this is related to menstruation?
• How can we make this cost effective to print?
• How can we avoid Perigives poster getting removed?
• Where will the posters be placed?
Website
Challenges:
• How can we immerse users into what we do?
• How can we have people interested in helping us?
• What is the most important thing we want users to know?
• How can we make people spread the word?
Social Media
Challenges:
How can we engage our users with our social media?
How can we keep people motivated?
How can we bring people to our website?
How can we make it easy for people to understand what we do?
Impact
USER TESTING:
Our first run of user testing around over 10 different New York City female public restrooms. We tested 30 of our posters printed in different colors (colored & black and white), sizes and places (the waiting area & inside cubicles).

We checked on these after 3 hours and sadly some were torn down but the posters that worked, was a huge success leading to positive feedback on our social media.
Our Future
My team and I want to continue promoting Perigives so that we can make a bigger social change in the future.

We are looking into creating and attending related events such as Women’s March, Women’s Month, Period Con etc.

We are currently reaching out to press in order to share the word on how Perigives can help the community.
